About Shanna Cochran

Shanna Cochran has been developing Social Security disability claims for clients since 1996 when she joined the office of much acclaimed Attorney Ronald W. Kilgore. Mr. Kilgore has worked disability cases since 1971. In 2012, Shanna became eligible for Social Security Administration fee withholding which means a client will only have to pay when the case is won, and the fee will be paid by Social Security directly from the back pay you are awarded. Requirements for SSA fee withholding include successfully completing a rigorous exam to prove a working knowledge of Social Security's rules as well as a background check and numerous other qualifications.

Shanna works in Dickson County and serves all of Middle Tennessee. Her practice is built around creating a personal relationship with her clients. Clients can expect clear guidance and practical advice when pursuing their disability claims.

A caring and compassionate Disability advocate, Shanna has worked most of her adult life, over 22 years, in the Social Security field. Along with receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Shanna continues to expand her base of knowledge, not only in the Social Security field but also in improving the dynamics of helping people of all ages, backgrounds, and ethnicities.

Shanna's compassion is very present when helping people who are disabled navigate the Social Security system. "It is extremely satisfying seeing first-hand the positive impact on our client's lives when they receive their Social Security benefits. I have seen the system fail many disabled people in my career.  Utilizing representation greatly improves the success rate of any claim. I will work tirelessly to make sure the best possible case is presented to the administration. The Social Security process is very complex and gets more complicated with the frequent changing of rules and regulations. I will do everything possible to help my clients receive the benefits they have earned and deserve. When a person has worked hard all their lives, they must not be left behind because they have become too ill or too injured to continue working. Social Security is insurance, not entitlement. People have built their earnings with their hard work and I will perform the very best to help disabled people retrieve the benefits they deserve.”
